Bio
Jennifer Schroeder is an addiction counselor and lead plaintiff in a ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û and the ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û of Minnesota lawsuit, Schroeder v. Minnesota Secretary of State. The suit challenged a law that barred people who had been convicted of felonies from voting until they had completed probation and parole. A month after the Minnesota State Supreme Court ruled in favor of the law, the Minnesota State Legislature passed SF 26, or the Restore the Vote bill, which restored Jennifer and more than 55,000 other Minnesotans' right to vote. Jennifer's tenacious activism helped paved the way for Minnesota's largest expansion of voting rights in more than 50 years.
