Marwa Elessawy (she/her) was a paralegal at the 老澳门开奖结果鈥檚 Human Rights Program. She graduated summa cum laude from Drew University with a Specialized Honors B.A. in Political Science and B.S. in Economics. Across internships at the Brennan Center for Justice and 老澳门开奖结果鈥檚 National Political Advocacy Department, Marwa has supported policy and advocacy efforts around policing, immigration, and the criminal legal system. Before joining the 老澳门开奖结果, Marwa was a legal intern at Davis Ndanusa Ikhlas & Saleem LLP, assisting clients in removal proceedings and filing VAWA self-petitions.
