Marwa Elessawy (she/her) was a paralegal at the ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û’s Human Rights Program. She graduated summa cum laude from Drew University with a Specialized Honors B.A. in Political Science and B.S. in Economics. Across internships at the Brennan Center for Justice and ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û’s National Political Advocacy Department, Marwa has supported policy and advocacy efforts around policing, immigration, and the criminal legal system. Before joining the ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û, Marwa was a legal intern at Davis Ndanusa Ikhlas & Saleem LLP, assisting clients in removal proceedings and filing VAWA self-petitions.
