Bio
Spencer Garcia is a Paralegal with the ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û’s LGBTQ & HIV Project. They graduated from Vassar College in 2018 where they received a Bachelor’s degree in Women, Feminist, & Queer Studies and Sociology. In their senior year, they founded Lacunae: An Undergraduate Journal for Queer of Color Critique, the first undergraduate journal exclusively by and about LGBTQ people of color. Prior to the ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û, Spencer interned at FIERCE and the NYC Anti-Violence Project, where their work focused on community organizing in LGBTQ communities of color. Spencer also facilitates workshops about race, gender, and sexuality at conferences, colleges and universities, non-profit organizations, and with community members of all ages.
