Former Justice Catalyst Fellow, ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û Criminal Law Reform Project

Bio

Yazmine Nichols is a Christian Minister and was a Justice Catalyst Fellow at the National ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û’s Criminal Law Reform Project where she focuses on challenging unjust pretrial conditions of release through a targeted campaign. Yazmine graduated from the Fordham University School of Law, receiving the Public Interest Valedictorian Award and the Dean’s Special Achievement Award for making a singular and distinctive contribution to the school community. Yazmine recently received the Trailblazer award from the Black Law Student Association in 2021. She is committed to community service and to making the law accessible to those who have been historically disadvantaged by the legal system. Yazmine received her M.A. from Union Theological Seminary in 2017 with an interdisciplinary concentration in Social Ethics and Theology. She also received her B.A. from Williams College with a double major in English and Religion.
