We *heart* the . Our affiliate office in St. Paul has been fighting tirelessly for free speech in the midst of what appears to be a huge government crackdown on civil liberties at the RNC, including coordinating legal defense for tons of people swept up in the mass arrests there.
Notably, they’ve coordinated legal counsel for Amy Goodman, host of , and two of that show’s producers who were arrested for trying to do their jobs. Goodman was released on misdemeanor charges three hours after her arrest, while the producers, Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar, were held longer and charged with felony intent to riot. Those charges were suspended pending investigation. The ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û of Minnesota is calling for all charges against Goodman, Kouddous and Salazar to be dropped.
