This just in, an e-mail with another reported Habeas sighting. This time at Niagara Falls.
My family and I were enjoying a beautiful spring day during our yearly excursion to Niagara Falls. Our son Dylan was too young to run around on his own last year, and Scott and I were hesitant about bringing him on the tour and into the caves behind the falls. This year, our rambunctious little one was too excited to be left behind, but after his third request to 芒鈧損lay芒鈧 in the waterfall, Scott took a firm grip on his hand as we boarded the tour boat. Our blue Maid of the Mist ponchos were flapping in the air as we moved closer and closer to the gushing water. I forgot about the spray hitting my face (and even about Scott and Dylan!) as I stood there in complete awe. Then there was a tug on my sleeve. Dylan was pointing to a rainbow that had formed between the American and Horseshoe Falls. But it wasn芒鈧劉t the rainbow that had caught his eye. Dylan was staring, completely agog, at a spot on the rocks behind the falls, just where the rainbow ended. 芒鈧揗ommy look! A leprechaun! He jumped down the waterfall. He芒鈧劉s inside the rainbow, like a real leprechaun!!芒鈧滻 couldn芒鈧劉t imagine what he thought he saw, but I stared at the spot as hard as I could, because that芒鈧劉s what you do. Well, a second later it was ME who was completely agog, because the little 芒鈧搇eprechaun芒鈧 perched on those rocks was actually Habeas Corpus!I know how that sounds, but there he was. . I couldn芒鈧劉t believe my eyes! How in the world had he made it all the way up there? 芒鈧揅an we go play with him?芒鈧 Dylan shouted, 芒鈧揚lease?芒鈧滻t芒鈧劉s hard to tell our little adventurer no, but I had to. Even if it WAS Habeas Corpus, I knew that by the time we made our way up to the cave, he would probably be gone. But I didn芒鈧劉t want to spoil the moment for Dylan. He stood there at the rail and waved and, for a brief moment, I think I saw Habeas芒鈧劉 little green hand wave back. Then he jumped back behind the mist of the falls and we couldn芒鈧劉t see him anymore.Still, it was a day we won芒鈧劉t forget any time soon!-- Linda G., Piedmont, Rhode Island
