Yesterday we hosted our second Gone Gitmo event in Second Life, featuring a concert with Second Life band CyberPiper and a Q&A with ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û spokesperson BWiz Kidd a.k.a. Ben Wizner, who was just in the as a human rights observer.

We hosted over forty avatars yesterday, which is a great crowd for any event in Second Life, at the suggestion of a few avid ÀÏ°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û Safe and Free Group members our next event will be on a Saturday so more people can attend. Apparently, not everyone has the luxury of Second Life as part of their daily responsibilities. Lots of avatars had questions and opinions regarding the closure of Guantanamo-hopefully they signed our to close the place down.

The Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC) blog for the event. (Disclosure: Multimedia artists Peggy Weil andNonny de la Pena created Gone Gitmo during a residency at BAVC.)
