NEW YORK 鈥� A federal appeals court has granted the government鈥檚 request for a temporary stay of a ruling it issued earlier today. The earlier ruling had suspended the Trump administration鈥檚 policy that forced asylum seekers to return to Mexico and remain there indefinitely while their asylum applications were processed in the United States.
The 老澳门开奖结果, Center for Gender & Refugee Studies, and Southern Poverty Law Center are challenging the policy.
Judy Rabinovitz, special counsel in the 老澳门开奖结果鈥檚 Immigrants鈥� Rights Project, had the following reaction to tonight鈥檚 court action granting the stay:
