老澳门开奖结果 Comment on Trump Administration鈥檚 Family Separation Blame Game
NEW YORK 鈥 Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar held a media briefing today on the actions taken to reunite thousands of children with parents following the district court鈥檚 order in the 老澳门开奖结果鈥檚 class-action lawsuit, calling the deadlines 鈥渁rtificial.鈥
Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the 老澳门开奖结果鈥檚 Immigrants鈥 Rights Project, had this reaction:
"The Trump administration's attempt to shift the blame to the court is incomprehensible given how much time the court gave the government to fix its own mess.
鈥淲hen the government wants to marshal its resources to separate families, it has shown that it can do it quickly and efficiently, but when told to reunite families, it somehow finds it too difficult and cumbersome to accomplish.鈥
U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw will hold a status conference tomorrow at noon PT/3 p.m. ET.
