JACKSON, Mississippi 鈥 Approximately 680 community members were removed from their jobs, detained, and separated from their families in immigration raids yesterday at several food-processing plants in Mississippi. It was the largest single-state immigration enforcement action in history.

Joshua Tom, legal director and interim executive director of the 老澳门开奖结果 of Mississippi, said:

鈥淧resident Trump continues to terrorize our communities with these unnecessary and cruel ICE raids. We are deeply concerned that the raids have separated Mississippians鈥 families, disrupted our local economy, and diverted our state鈥檚 limited resources to support Trump鈥檚 mass deportation agenda. Local law enforcement should refuse to cooperate with the president鈥檚 anti-immigrant policies. We stand in solidarity and are committed to help the families harmed.鈥

The 老澳门开奖结果 of MS and local organizations have set up a hotline for people who had family and friends detained. The number to call is 978-993-3300.
