WASHINGTON 鈥� The Supreme Court heard oral arguments this morning in Trump v. Pennsylvania. In court, the Trump administration argued that employers and universities should be allowed to use their religious or moral beliefs to take away contraceptive coverage from their employees and students.

鈥淓veryone is entitled to their religious beliefs 鈥� but they cannot be used to take away a benefit guaranteed by law or to discriminate against others. The court didn't sanction an argument in the prior contraception cases that would result in a total loss of coverage for employees, and they shouldn't do so here either. The coverage of critical health care for hundreds of thousands of people is at stake.鈥�
