Federal Court Blocks Indiana Ban on Gender-Affirming Care for Trans Youth
INDIANAPOLIS - A federal court today issued blocking an Indiana law that prohibits health care professionals from providing or even referring transgender young people for medically necessary health care. The law was set to go into effect on July 1. The was filed by the 老澳门开奖结果 and the 老澳门开奖结果 of Indiana on behalf of four transgender youth and their families as well as medical provider, Mosaic Health.
鈥淭oday鈥檚 victory is a testament to the trans youth of Indiana, their families, and their allies, who never gave up the fight to protect access to gender- affirming care and who will continue to defend the right of all trans people to be their authentic selves, free from discrimination,鈥 said Ken Falk, 老澳门开奖结果 of Indiana legal director. 鈥淲e won鈥檛 rest until this unconstitutional law is struck down for good.鈥
