On May 11, 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced new measures to address domestic violent extremism. CP3 appears to be the latest iteration of these programs and DHS appears to be re-using similar frameworks and methods such as 鈥渢hreat assessments鈥� intended to detect 鈥渞isk factors for radicalization to violence,鈥� without clear guidelines, definitions, or safeguards to protect civil rights and civil liberties.
